I recently spent a fabulous weekend at the Hotel Opal Superior - an adults-only retreat nestled in the stunning Mátra Mountains. Right from the start, the staff made us feel like VIPs, providing an exceptional welcome that set the tone for our stay. The spacious room was a dream; I loved how it was both modern yet cozy, perfect for unwinding after exploring the nearby Franciscan monastery and its breathtaking historic library. The culinary offerings were a delightful surprise, especially dinner, which surpassed our expectations at such a friendly price-honestly, it was among the best meals I've had in ages. And let's not forget the wellness area; the sauna and steam chamber were lifesavers after a day of hiking, allowing us to relax thoroughly. With easy access to local attractions and a central location, this hotel is an absolute gem for those of us who appreciate both luxury and unique experiences. Can't wait to return!
